About Us

The historic Old Brinn House is believed to have been constructed in the 1850s, originally owned by John Davis, a partner at the nearby Herbertville Mine. In 1860, merchant Morris Brinn and his brother, Nathan, arrived in Sutter Creek and opened a mercantile on Main Street. Five years later, Morris acquired this property and significantly expanded it, resulting in the two-story structure that stands today.

Once a beloved local restaurant throughout the 1970s and later transformed into The Foxes Bed and Breakfast, we are excited to embrace our roles as the new proprietors. We aim to blend the charm of the past with modern comforts under our new name, Brinnwood Bed & Breakfast.

With 6 of the largest bedrooms in town, Brinnwood Bed & Breakfast retains much of its original allure, featuring exquisite Victorian antique wood furniture inherited from previous owners, along with charming clawfoot bathtubs in every room. Each room has with mini-split heating and cooling systems, updated bathrooms stocked with luxury bath products, and comfortable linens.

See our Kitchen page for information on our breakfast program.

We look forward to your stay!

Now, seeking a change of pace, she and Danny have settled back in their roots. What Pepole are Saying

“My husband and I had such a lovely time. Lindsey and Danny are lovely hosts. They have done an incredible job restoring the inn and the gardens. Strolling through the gardens with my morning cup of coffee was serene. Lindsey is amazing chef and accommodating for those with dietary restrictions. Breakfast was so satisfying that we didn't need lunch! The location is perfectly situated in downtown historic Sutter Creek. In walking distance are at least 7 wine tasting rooms, plenty of cute shops, and fun eateries. Definitely going back and bringing extended family next time.” - Gretchen, 4/14/25

“We had a wonderful, relaxing stay at Brinnwood B&B. Danny and Lindsey are very accommodating, breakfast is out of this world and the room was very spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed the beautiful gardens surrounding the area. We will definitely be back to Brinnwood!” - Mary, 4/14/25

“From the moment we met Danny and Lindsey, we felt instantly welcomed. They’re both warm, friendly, and genuinely hospitable—and they have a beautiful family. They’re in the process of adding their own touches to a charming, long-established B&B, and they’re doing a fantastic job. The accommodations were very clean, cozy, and comfortable. There are six rooms, each with its own unique charm and character. Danny gave us a full tour—three rooms are in the main house, and three are in a separate addition with private entrances. Every room has its own bathroom, and the whole property has a charming Victorian style with lots of personality and care.
But the absolute best part? They made us feel like we were staying with friends. We were so well taken care of. Check-in began with a glass of wine, and breakfast the next morning was truly special: homemade jam, pepper candied bacon (incredible!), scones, yogurt with fresh fruit, fresh-squeezed juice, herbed baked eggs and delicious coffee. We felt completely pampered. Thank you, Danny and Lindsey, for your amazing hospitality. We loved every minute and can’t wait to return.” - Amy, 4/11/2025

“Absolutely wonderful vacation. Food and service was superior. Owners are friendly and available. Lindsey is an outstanding cook. The rooms are so unique, each one different. The gardens around the house are full of blooming plants and trees. Very relaxing whether on the porch, in the garden, or in the room. We’ll definitely be back!” - Deborah 4/14/25

“We had a delightful stay. The breakfast was amazing. Homemade scones, citrus salad, focacia with eggs breakfast sandwich, delicious bacon and fresh squeezed oj. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud. Danny and Lindsey have hospitality in spades.” - Robert, 4/30/25

“We found our new favorite spot in wine country! My husband and I had a mid week getaway here and were pleasantly surprised by the quaint vintage beauty and warm hospitality upon our arrival (greeted by our host Danny with a crisp white wine and fresh baked cookies). Every where I looked evoked imagery of a home full of rich history and simpler days gone by. We stayed in the Honeymoon suite and I couldn’t get enough of the gorgeous chandelier in the bathroom! Waking up to a gourmet breakfast prepared by our lovely hostess Lindsey was my favorite part. Everything was fresh and clean and just beautiful. The homemade scones and jam were perfection. We felt pampered and cared for and I can’t wait to go back!” - Kimberly 4/3/25
